UltraFuzion

UltraFuzion is a High Performance Bicomponent Engineered Yarn made using High Tenacity Dope Dyed Polyester and Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethene (UHMWPE) (eg. Dyneema, Spectra, and Izanas)

This new UltraFuzion yarn is found in the Jackets/Covers of the new versions of Glowire, Guywire, Ironwire and Reflective Ironwire. 

By combining these two fibers together in the perfect ratio, the finished product greatly improves the Jackets/Covers abrasion resistance and cut resistance without making it more slippery or negatively effecting the knotabilty in any way.   

UltraFuzion is very similar to what we have been using in our Ironwire Jackets/Covers for many years now. But the new UHMWPE yarn we are now using to blend with, features a much thicker filament than what is found in Dyneema SK71 and SK75.  (which is what we used for many years). This new thicker filament yarn, helps to further improve the attributes of finished product. 

There is no other cord on the market that uses this proprietary blend of Polyester and UHMWPE in the ratio that we are blending it in.  As it is very hard to do and adds significant production time and material costs to all of our cords.
